(Montel) German day-ahead power prices looked set to double on Wednesday as both wind and solar plunge off exceptionally high levels.
Baseload for Thursday last traded at EUR 125.50/MWh on the EEX exchange, compared to EUR 59.80/MWh for Wednesday delivery. The Thursday contract was, however, down EUR 3.50 on its previous close.
